SUPPORT
We
provide a complete service, covering clients from Quotation to
ownership. Our alarms are quoted by our own qualified trades
people.Unlike most companies, we do not have salespersons. We consider
that quoting alarms requires the same level of knowledge as is required
for service. You talk to the people who actually do the job, and know
the equipment we recommend. We advise you every step of the way, as
well as providing monitoring services from our own Conrol Room. We only
use commercial grade equipment, chosen for its reliability.
Alarm Monitoring
We provide a 24 hr, 7 day staffed control room to receive and action alarm
signals. This includes followup for “fail to Seal”, checking for regular
test calls, and for power fails on critical equipment. Client staff are
contacted, using our database listings, and required action undertaken.
All client data is confidential, and is never disclosed to other than
clients, unless the inquirer has the Legal Authority to request such
disclosure.
Alarm Sales and Service
Our technical staff can provide new alarms, or replacement control panels.
We handle the whole job, from site inspection, quotation and final supply
and installation. We even provide continuing maintenance service, unlike
many companies who simply install the alarm and do not undertake service
work. There is no point in having an alarm unless you have service
personnel available to service your alarm when an emergency occurs.
Alarm & Telephone Cabling
All service staff hold current Communications Licence, and are qualified
to undertake phone connections to your alarm, and to supply extension
phone sockets, and, if required, supply and install Telephone Systems. Not
all Cablers are Licenced in Security, but all Licenced Security Service
Personnel must hold Communications Cabling Licences.
IP Alarm monitoring
We provide equipment which allows current alarms to signal over the web.
The equipment checks the premises every 90 seconds, and advises of loss of
the web. This equipment also signals normal operations of the alarm.
Alarms use a phone call each time they signal, and this equipment uses the
web for no cost signaling. The only phone call costs are for any signals
sent by the alarm if the web is down. We were involved in the design and
manufacturing of this equipment for use in Australia.
Alarm response
Should the client request such, we can arrange for a patrol response to
alarm signals. This allows a patrol to attend and check your premises for
you. This means that the client does not need to attend unless there is
something wrong. A trained patrol officer can assess the situation, and
decide on the correct action. Obviously, they will charge for the
service, but it is less of a problem in asking a patrol to attend instead
of climbing out of bed on a freezing winter’s night!
Test and Tag Service
OHS requires all portable electric appliances to be safety checked
regularly, and prescribe the intervals between checks. We have available
the staff and equipment to undertake these checks, and to remind you when
they become due.
Alarm Line Monitoring
The most vulnerable portion of your alarm is the phone line. If the line
is cut, or the phone line is not working, your dialer cannot signal. We
have available equipment which can check you phone line regularly, and
warn us of line faults. This is a proprietary product developed by our
company.
ADSL Filter Installations
Many clients have ADSL or broadband facilities on their phone line. It is
not generally realised that such facilities can stop alarms signaling, and
phones from working properly. The answer is the fitting of an ADSL Filter
to the phone line to allow the alarm to signal properly. Our staff are
trained in the correct installation of such filters.
Bureau Monitoring
Many smaller security companies have not the number of clients to provide
a control room. We can provide what is called “Bureau Monitoring Services”
to such companies, allowing them to provide a reliable and competent
service for these clients.
Telephone Advocacy
If you are having phone problems, or
do not understand the jargon, talk to us. We can be authorised to make
complaints on your behalf to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman,
however, in many cases, the matter can be settled quickly when the
supplier realizes that they are talking to a communications Engineer and
not a client with no understanding of the industry. If you feel that

Technical Training Service
We have technically qualified staff who are qualified to lecture and teach
on technical security. We also have qualified workplace assessors to
handle applications for Technical Security Qualifications. In fact, our
staff were involved in writing courses for Certificate III in Technical
Security, and we teach such for Alarm Technicians in Training.
We also have available personnel to speak on security matters at clubs and
professional associations.
